Camps

School Aged Camps offer care and supervision to children in Junior Kindergarten (JK) and up to 12 years of age.  The program offers educational activities, including gross motor games, sports, nutritious lunch and snacks, special programming and spontaneous fun. Offered at various locations, during non-school instructional days (PD Days, March Break and summer holidays – when available). Hours of operation are from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. Licensed summer camp for children in JK and SK, located at McKinnon Park Child Care Centre in July and August.  The program offers educational activities, including gross motor games, sports, nutritious lunch and snacks, special programming and spontaneous fun.  Hours of operation are from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. School’s Cool helps a child prepare for kindergarten.  The program is offered 3 times per week over a 7 week period in July and August.  Children participate in a school setting. By taking a School’s Cool course, children:

• Develop self-help skills
• Gain self-confidence and an excitement about learning
• May meet some of their future classmates
• Become familiar with a kindergarten setting
