Union House
Union House provides residential support services to transitional age youth living in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties. Services are designed to offer a safe and nurturing living environment, along with life skills training and supportive counselling for at risk youth. Individualized programing is created to assist youth in developing the skills necessary for independent living or a return to the family home, and successful integration into the work force.
Eligibility
Union House is a voluntary program for youth who are:
16 or 17 years of age
In need of a stable place to live
Enrolled full-time in school or a vocational skills training program
Seeking assistance with life skill learning or interpersonal skill development
Committed to participating in the Residence Program
Cost
Room and board is applied according to income. Financial assistance through Ontario Works may be available and will be determined on an individual basis. Youth Support Workers will assist youth in applying for funding as necessary.
