Autism Spectrum Disorder Summer Activities This program is offered for six weeks each summer and includes Summer Camp and Summer Supports for children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. At Summer Camp children will enjoy activities such as games, crafts and songs, and sports. A daily theme will be planned. Participants will choose some activities. Participants should bring a lunch, snacks and drinks (a fridge will not be available, so a cool pack should be included for food safety) and sunscreen for outdoor activities. The camp will be located in a central location for three weeks in Norfolk and three weeks in Haldimand. At Summer Supports families will choose a day camp or activity program that suits their child. They will register their child at the community camp program and pay the registration fee. At the same time they will send in an application for Autism Services - Summer Supports. If approved, Autism Services - Summer Supports, will send a staff to provide extra support to ensure a successful and fun week at camp. The camp chosen must agree to have the Autism Services summer supports staff attend with the child. Is my family eligible? How can I access or learn more about this program?
