Counselling & Supports for Children & Youth

reach_image_5REACH offers counselling and supports for children and youth, up to age 18, and their families who may be struggling with mental health issues.

Counselling and supportive services are designed around your needs and can be offered in a variety of locations ranging from in-home, our main or satellite offices or other community space.

Our professionally trained staff work with children, youth and their families together to plan for the supports and services that will be the most helpful to meet your needs.

REACH offers several types of individual and group counselling. This can be accessed by calling our office and talking with someone from Contact Haldimand-Norfolk, calling our crisis service, or by visiting our Walk In Counselling Clinic.

Some issues that bring children, youth and their families to counselling include worries and anxiety, sadness, problems with temper and any other concerns that may be interfering with daily life.

REACH also offers many types of supports for children who have physical or developmental challenges. Our staff can help you access respite, Special Services at Home and the many other family support programs. You can learn more about how to access these programs by calling REACH and asking to speak with someone from Contact Haldimand-Norfolk.

We offer children and their families who need early intervention or who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) programs and workshops.

Programs are also offered for youth who at risk of becoming, or who are, in conflict with the law through our Youth and Justice Services programs.

Union House is a residential program that offers youth over 16 years who need a safe and supportive place to live.

REACH invites you to find out more about these services, by selecting from the items on your left, or by calling our office today.
